Built in the 1970's by world-renowned architect Wallace Harrison as the country estate of the late J. Seward Johnson (son of Johnson & Johnson founder Robert Wood Johnson) and his wife, Barbara, the 46,000 square-foot clubhouse is an architectural marvel unmatched in its grandeur. Designed to blend seamlessly with its surroundings amidst the serene rolling hills of Princeton, the course was crafted by celebrated golfer and golf course architect Gary Player in the old style, leaving the terrain completely natural. Player's experience playing many of the world's greatest courses during his prolific 50-year career, combined with his reverence for nature, contributed to his outstanding design at Jasna Polana, long considered among the best private courses in the state.
